On 9th September, Dr. Avula Sahiti Reddy, a member of AACCI Youth Wing presented an oral paper - "Study of pattern of food habits & physical activity in school going adolescents of urban Pune in western India - A Pilot study. She received 3rd Prize for oral paper presentation.
Dr. Sahiti is a post graduate student in Dept.of Pediatrics of Dr. D Y Patil Medical College, Pimpri, and Pune
from New Delhi gives Annual awards for individuals and Organisations that do excellent work in community health. One of the Awardee this year is AACCI – Association of Adolescent and Child care in India. This award is for AACCI their work on creating awareness in schools and colleges for prevention of NCD – Non communicable diseases through healthy life style The award was given at Talkatora stadium, New Delhi during the award function on 27th October.
It was received by Dr Swati Y Bhave honorary Executive Director of AACCI and Dr Sharad Agarkhedkar advisor and Dr Shailaja Mane ,Coordinator of AACCI Pune Center.
The award was given during the HCFI Award ceremony held on 27th October at the end of MTNL Perfect Health Mela

IMA HQ for the first time started ALL India IMA Woman Empowerment Awards in 2018. These were given at. National WIMALS – Women IMA Leaders’ summit which was held for the first time by IMA HQ and the IMA women doctors wing. on 13-14 October in IMA House New Delhi.
Dr Swati Bhave received an award for her work in Adolescent health. 6 other woman from various states received this award. Award was given by chief guest Dr Jayanti ben Mehta – Former chairperson MCI, and Dr Ravi Wankhedkar National IMA president.
Dr Swati Y Bhave received HCFI Dr Rakesh Gupta Excellence Award for the best philanthropic contribution in the field of a community health project at a function held in IMA house, New Delhi.
She is Executive Director AACCI (Association of Adolescent and Child Care in India ) Mumbai She is working in Pune since 2015 as Honorary Professor Adolescent Medicine in Dr DY Patil Medical College ,Pimpri Pune & Head of Adolescent wellness clinic Jehangir hospital Pune.
She was the President of Indian Academy of pediatrics in 2000.

The 1st World NCD Congress was held 3to 7th Nov 2017 at PGIMER (Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research) Chandigarh.
Dr Swati Y Bhave Executive Director AACCI presented her paper on BMI and Self-esteem in Adolescents school children. Her poster received third prize .This was given at the valedictory ceremony of the Congress on 6th Nov 2017 at the hands of His Excellency the Governor of Haryana and Punjab Prof Kaptan Singh Solanki.
